as the weather starts to turn i get the itch to head up to the north shore for some sleeping under the stars. rumor has it the fall colors are going to be better than they have in a decade! showing a family roughing it with a station wagon vacation, these photos were taken by a minneapolis star tribune photographer in 1959 for picture magazine. yesterday's news has the original story and captions from the article "let's go car camping!"

a '71 volkswagon campervan available to rent for photo shoots in london through light locations. i'd like to have one for keeps sitting in my driveway - when i'm not on the road, that is. too cute.

is it thursday already? with the sporadic hours at my new job i'm finding it hard to get into the blogging groove. but hopefully as summer winds down i'll find more time to do consistent posting again.
