"I have a love/hate relationship with this bag. I bought it last summer from H&M because I was in dire need of a white bag (come on ladies, you know black and brown doesn't go with everything!). True/funny story: A day or so after buying the bag, I was walking to the bus station during my morning work commute, and I passed a lady and thought "Wow, her bag is really nice, I wonder where she bought it?", and maybe I was staring a bit too much because she gave me a "look". When I got to the bus, I went to take out my bus pass and looked down to see that I had the exact same bag as her! That's how much I love this bag.
On the other hand, this bag is like a black hole. No, actually it's like a 50 meter well, with a black hole at the bottom. Just when you think you've reached the bottom and finally managed to grab that darn thing you're looking for, well... you didn't. It's my catchall purse, and sometimes I forget that it's a black hole and will just dump whatever I can in there. At one point during our apartment reno, I had a gazillion receipts, paintbrushes, drywall screws, and a hammer and I didn't know it. Only when it started getting ridiculously heavy did I stop to clean it out. And that is why I hate this bag.
What's in my bag?
- Coach wallet. A present, I'm not sure I'd ever spend that much on a wallet.
- My Blackberry phone, which has become an extension of my arm. I love what it does, but I hate how it looks.
- A cross-stich embroidered, handmade zipper pouch. It holds gift cards and coupons.
- A change purse, to hold coins and subway tokens (which actually, is not a good idea since I've almost paid with tokens several times).
- St. Ives moisturizer.
- Car keys, house keys.
- Agenda. I'm BIG on list-making, and most of my lists go on post-it notes that go in this. I am lost without it.
- Handy pen.
- Sunglasses.
- Gum (sometimes, mints).
- Umbrella. I only carry this during spring and fall, when the weather is unpredictable.
- Compact mirror.
- Burt's Bees lip gloss.
And there you have it!
Also, please don't forget to admire my beautiful laminate floor.
